Second Chance Humane Society

Making Mason County a No - Kill Community,
one cat and dog at a time.

Smokey Joe is a big, beautiful long-haired boy, about 3 to 4 years old.  He is neutered, FIV and FeLV negative, and has had his shots.  He was rescued a year ago from a cat-hoarding situation, and has been in a foster home since then.  He has made a lot of progress.  He loves his foster family and

is very affectionate with them, but is still shy and insecure around strangers.  He currently lives with a dog and other cats, but wants to be “top cat”.  He would do best in a calm, quiet household.

Finney was rescued from the same place as Smokey Joe.  They are being fostered together.  He is a big boy, gray-striped.  Finney is also neutered,

FIV and FeLV negative, and has had vaccines.  He is very shy, but

appreciates human attention.  He needs a home with a person for family who can “continue the rescue” by first giving him a smaller room and a place to hide until he adjusts and learns to feel safe.
